Ymddiriedaf ynot Iesu

Ymddiriedaf ynot Iesu,
  Mawr yw'r gwaith a wnest Ti 'rioed,
Cefaist angeu, cefaist uffern,
  Cefaist Satan dan dy droed,
    Pen Calfaria!
  Nac aed hwnnw byth o'm côf.

Pan bwy'n myned trwy'r Iorddonen,
  Angeu creulon yn ei rym,
Yn dy law yr âf trwy'r tonau,
  Yn dy law nid ofnaf ddim;
    Buddugoliaeth!
  Uchel seiniaf yn y llif.

  Arglwydd arwain trwy'r anialwch
  Gwaed (d)y groes sy'n codi (i) fyny
  Pan fwy'n myned drwy Iorddonen

I will trust in thee, Jesus,
  Great is the work Thou hast ever done,
Thou didst get death, Thou didst get hell,
  Thou didst get Satan under thy feet,
    The summit of Calvary!
  Let this never go from my memory!

When I am going through the Jordan,
  Death with its cruel force,
In thy hand I will go through the waves,
  In thy hand I will fear nothing;
    Victory!
  Loudly I will sound in the flow.

I will trust Thee, blessed Jesus,
  Wondrous things didst Thou of old;
Death is conquered, hell is vanquished
  Thou hast bruised the tempter bold.
    Blessed Calv'ry!
  How can I forget thee more?

When I pass through Jordan's river
  And grim death puts forth its might,
Let by Thee, I'll stem its billows:
  Led by Thee, faith turns to sight.
    Glorious victory!
  I will shout on Jordan's wave.
